I understand that the decision to enter into counselling is not an easy one and asking for help is difficult. It may help you to know I have been in that position too, so let me tell you a bit about me.

My name is Amy and I am a fully qualified, trauma informed counsellor based in Tamworth. I cover the whole of Staffordshire and Nuneaton and Coventry in Warwickshire. I believe that if you can take time out, in a safe space where you can think and talk things through, then it really can make all the difference.

You will be offered a warm, confidential and non-judgemental space where you can explore your feelings and problems that you may find difficult to discuss with friends or family.

As well as working in private practice I also work as a counsellor for AGE UK Coventry and Warwickshire. I help clients who are experiencing a wide variety of issues such as grief, loss, anxiety, depression, self-esteem, trauma, loneliness, attachment issues, family and relationship problems, ADHD, PTSD, OCD and many others.

I am a trauma informed practitioner who is trained in a range of counselling techniques. These include, person centred, transactional analysis, CBT, psychodynamic and Gestalt. This means I am able to adapt my approach to suit your personal needs. After all-therapy is personal.

I offer a 15 minute telephone consultation at my expense to begin with where we can get to know each other, discuss your reasons for approaching counselling and what you would like to gain from it. There is no obligation, your first session can be booked once this discovery conversation has drawn to a close.
